4.7 SAFETIES
The machine has the following safeties:
Motorstop
Lever n.1 fig.1, that controls engine stop, is held down during work. If the
handlebar is accidentally released, it will stop the engine immediately.
This lever, locked by retainer D fig.3 may be used only when the PTO is working
and the machine is in a fixed position (irrigating).
Clutch retainer
This retainer, (A fig.3), prevents the machine from accidentally starting if a gear
is engaged during the starting procedure.
PTO cut-out
The machine has a device that automatically prevents the PTO and the reverse
gear from being engaged at the same time in normal working direction (rotary
cultivating).
In reversed working direction (mowing), this cut-out is automatically disengaged
so that the reverse gear and the PTO can be used together.
Reverser cut-out
This device prevents the reverser being engaged in normal driving direction
(rotary cultivating).
Free-wheel sleeve
The coupling sleeve between the implement and the the PTO works on the
basis of a "free-wheel" with drive transmission in a single turning direction. When
the clutch is disengaged, the inertial force of the implement will prevent the
rotary cultivator from moving forward any more.
CAUTION! These safeties should be kept in perfect operational
efficiency. If they do not perform perfectly, replace them requesting the parts
from your nearest Goldoni Assistance Centre.
