Connecting the System
The system controller unit powers and controls the entire system, including the sound level
meter. For this to occur, the sound level meter must be connected to the controller via hardware
connectors and its system configured properly. All the connector plugs needed to connect the
two hardware units are placed in the case's foam compartments for quick and easy setup.

If there are batteries in the sound level meter, take them out. Connect the plugs as shown in
Fig.2.3. With Sound Level Meter Type 2238, make sure that the analog LEMO plug is connect-
ed to the Aux 1 socket of the sound level meter.

To mount the sound level meter in the carrying case, do the following:
1) Remove the foam from the carrying case.
2) Unscrew the microphone from the sound level meter.
3) Screw the extension cable onto the sound level meter, using the attached DIN adaptor.
4) Lead the cable up and around the foam as shown in Fig x:
