Remote Oil Hook-Up
CI750 model will ship for connection to an
external fuel tank
• For CI230 and CI500, kit 500-131261 must be installed for
connection to an external tank.

Materials
• Tefl on tape (use on all threaded connections)
• Appropriate pipe fi ttings to adapt to the 3/8 in. NPT female
threads of the fuel fi lter's inlet if tank connection differs
Tools
• 11/16 in. open end wrench
• Adjustable wrench
Drawing fuel from an external bulk tank
• The fuel supply hose from the bulk tank must be the same
diameter as the fi tting on the remote tank.
• Use appropriate pipe fi ttings to reduce to the 3/8 in. NPT
threads on the fuel fi lter.
• Check ALL connections for tightness.
• Start the heater and check all connections for leaks.
Retighten as necessary to stop any fuel leaks.
Using the onboard fuel tank
• Model CI230 & CI500 ship ready to operate from the
onboard tank
• The CI750 requires hook-up from the onboard tank to the
fuel fi lter.
- Remove the blue cap from the hose at the onboard tank.
(See hose fi gure above.)
- The connection hose supplied has a 3/8 NPT so it can
connect directly to the fuel fi lter's inlet.

Start-Up Instructions
For initial start-up after heater installation, follow steps
1-5. For normal start-up, set the thermostat above room
temperature or set thermostat selector switch to the
manual position.
