Safety Information
Proper use
Only use the cylinder vacuum cleaner for domestic purpose, to clean dry, normally soiled floors and, depending on
the type of attached nozzle (accessory), furniture. Any other use is considered improper and is prohibited.
It is forbidden to vacuum-clean:
•
People, animals, plants; especially hair, fingers and other parts of the body as well as pieces of clothing worn
on the body. They could be sucked in, causing injury.
•
Toner dust (from copiers, laser printers); risk of fire or explosion.
•
Hot ash, burning cigarettes or matches; risk of fire.
•
Sharp or pointed objects (broken glass, nails); risk of damage to the appliance.
•
Water and other fluids, especially wet carpet cleaning agents; moisture inside can cause a short-circuit.
•
Rubble, plaster, cement, fine drilling-dust, make-up, etc.; risk of damage to the appliance.
It is also forbidden:
•
To use the appliance near explosive or highly-flammable substances; risk of fire or explosion.
•
To alter or repair the appliance yourself; risk of serious injury.
•
To stick objects into the appliance's openings during operation; risk of injury.
•
To use the appliance outdoors; risk of the appliance being irreparably damaged by rain and dirt.
If the appliance is defective
•
Never use a defective appliance or operate an appliance with a defective power cord. If the power cord of the
appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorised service representative,
or a similarly qualified person to avoid danger.
•
Hand the defective appliance over to an authorised dealer or the Vax customer service department for repair.
Disposal
Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste.
•
Recycle where facilities exist.
•
Check with your Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice.
•
All filters are made from environmentally-friendly materials.
They can be disposed of as normal household waste.
