IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•
Do not use water on grease fires. Smother the flame or use a
dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher.
•
If the surface is cracked or there is damage to the cooking sur-
face or glass, the appliance must be switched off and discon-
nected from the electricity supply in order to avoid a possible
electric shock.
•
During use, the appliance and its exposed parts become hot.
Please be careful to avoid the exposed parts of the heating
elements.
•
Never use a steam cleaner to clean control panel glass.
•
Objects made of metal, e.g. knives, forks, spoons, covers or
aluminium foil, should not be used on the unit as they can
become hot or damage the cooking surface.
•
After use, switch the unit off using the controls and do not rely
on the auto shut off timer.
•
The appliance must not be operated in conjunction with an
external timer or remote control system.
•
Leaving fat or oil unattended on the unit can be dangerous
and can lead to fires. NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water.
Instead, switch the appliance off and then carefully cover the
flames with an object such as a cover or a fire blanket.
•
Never leave objects on the hob as they pose a fire hazard.
