16 Disposal of the Old Device

Old electric and electronic devices frequently still contain valuable materials.
However, they also contain damaging substances, which were necessary for
their functionality and safety.
If these were put in the non-recyclable waste or were handled incorrectly, they could be
detrimental to human health and the environment.
Therefore, do not put your old device into the non-recyclable waste under any
circumstances.
Utilise the collection point, established in your town, to return and recycle old electric

and electronic devices. If necessary, contact your town hall, local refuse collection
service or your dealer for information.
Ensure that your old device is stored safely away from children until it is taken away.

Place the jug correctly on warming plate.
Do not remove the jug during brewing for longer as 30
seconds.
Have you used correct amount of coffee beans/
ground coffee? It should be one heaped spoon of
coffee for each cup.
Check if you leave the jug on the warming plate to
long, especially if it contains only a small amount of
coffee.
Check if you brewed too small amount of coffee. The
coffee is heated longer when you brew more of it.
Check if jug is placed correctly on warming plate.
Check if jug and grinding/brewing container are in
correct position.
Tilt the jug slightly to insert it. Caution: Do not spill the
hot coffee.
Is the jug correctly placed under the drip stop?
Otherwise the drip stop prevents the coffee from
flowing into the jug.
The device needs to be descaled.
