4. On the following page, enter your Wi-Fi credentials. Then tap on NEXT.
5. The app starts the pairing process and should connect to the auto-
matic feeder after a short wait.
Filling the automatic feeder
After successful pairing, you can fill the automatic feeder with dry
food (maximum diameter of the food: 15 mm). Release the lid by
pressing the button on the lock. Underneath the lid, you can find
the feed container and the control panel. Insert the bowl together
with the stainless-steel tray into the bottom of the automatic feed
dispenser. By pressing the buttons at the sides of the bowl, it can be
inserted or removed. Then initiate a manual feeding by pressing the
SET button on the unit once. This will ensure that the feeding mecha-
nism of the device is also filled with food.
Cleaning
Switch off the automatic feeder and disconnect it from the power
supply. Remove the feed bowl. Press the buttons on the left and
on the right, which release the bowl. When the lid is open, you can
simply pull out the feed container upwards. You can clean these
parts with water (not dishwasher suitable). The station should not
be cleaned in water, but only wiped down with a damp cloth. Before
adding new food, feed container and lid should be completely dry.

Error messages and troubleshooting

• If there is not enough feed left in the feed container, the alarm LED
will start flashing red. Refill feed and then initiate a manual feed by
pressing the SET button on the unit once. This ensures that the feed
mechanism of the device is also filled with feed.
• If you use feed that is too large (>15 mm) or very crumbly, it can
happen that the feed mechanism blocks and the feed is no longer
dispensed correctly. In this case the red alarm LED will start flashing
as well. To remove a blockage in the feed mechanism, all feed must
be removed from the device: Lift the feed container out of the device
and dump out the feed. Turn the feed screw at the bottom of the
hopper to remove any remaining feed from the mechanism. When
doing this, check the impeller for visible damage and remove any
coarse dirt. Then you can then reinsert the feed container and refill it.
• If you have activated the notifications in the app, you will be infor-
med automatically if one of the described problems occurs.
Tips for Using IoT Devices
• Update the software of your devices when security updates are
available.
• Change preset default passwords and use password managers and
two-factor authentication if necessary.
• Activate your router's firewall.
• Set up a separate WLAN for IoT devices. Then the IoT devices are
operated in a separate network that has no connection to sensitive
data or devices such as your computer.
• Activate the encryption of the communication of the IoT devices.
• Only connect IoT devices to the internet when remote access is
absolutely necessary.
• Use VPN for a secure connection to your home network when on
tour.
• If the UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) setting is activated on your
router, you should deactivate it so that your IoT devices cannot
communicate with the Internet outside of your control.
• Make sure that strangers cannot access your devices or can only do
so with difficulty to make changes to your hardware.
• USB or LAN ports should not be freely accessible, as these can serve
as a gateway into your network and to your data for an attacker.
• Consider the possible disclosure of personal data and the protection
of your privacy.
• Consciously weigh up when security is more important than conveni-
ence and functionality.
This device is operated with the aid of the app „Tuya Smart" by Tuya
Inc. which is available free of charge in the app stores. Please note
the conditions of use and data protection information given there.
