Warnings and notes
I Jacuzzi
®
shower boxes are only for indoor use.
Ensure that installation has been carried out by qual-
ified personnel, in full compliance with legal and cur-
rent regulations.
I Remember that is dangerous to use or to be able to
reach live electrical equipment while in the shower box
(e.g. radios, hair dryers, etc.).
I The peak temperature in the Turkish bath, for the dif-
ferent shower boxes and at the height of the users
chest, is approximately 45-50°C, allowing for a room
temperature of approximately 20°C.
I For all maintenance and/or repair operations that
require the replacement of components, original
Jacuzzi
®
spare parts must be used. Failure to comply
with this regulation while carrying out this operation
will mean that the Manufacturer is not liable for any
damage that may occur.
the steam, obtained by boiling water, leaves
the outlets at a temperature of nearly 100 °C.
Therefore, keep legs away from the steam out-
let trajectory during the Turkish bath, or oth-
erwise at least 40 cm away from the outlets.
I Never leave unsupervised children in the shower en-
closure, particularly when the Turkish bath is in operation.
I After turning off any function, do not leave the mix-
er open, because this leaves the deviator and the tubes
subject to mains pressure. This happens with the de-
viator in the position " ".
I Avoid using hot water at temperatures of over 60 °C.
The plastic parts of the plumbing circuit are guaran-
teed up to that temperature.
I DANGER OF FREEZING: if the electronically man-
aged Flexa shower boxes (ELT models) are installed in
homes or anywhere else where the temperature may
drop below freezing, the solenoid valve assembly may
be damaged due to ice forming from the very small
amounts of water that remain inside of it.
To fully drain the solenoid assembly, hold down the
keys "+" and "–" simultaneously for about 3 seconds.
This will activate a special cycle of about 45 seconds,
which is indicated by the countdown on the display.
This cycle can be activated only if the display is pow-
ered. It is also advisable to drain the hose of the show-
er head, and to set the deviator to "outlet below seat",
in order to drain off any water which may have been
left there.
I After use, turn off the main switch on the power line of the
shower box (see the installation manual, specifically the chap-
ter on electrical safety).
I If there is a power outage during a computer-controlled
function, the function currently in progress stops. When the
electricity comes back on, the function will not be restored;
you will need to re-activate it.
I The computer is equipped with an internal safeguard so that
any functions which are inadvertently left on are automatical-
ly shut off after about an hour.
Routine maintenance
I The flexible showerhead is provided with a filter that could
become clogged due to impurities and/or lime scale; this fil-
ter can be cleaned by unscrewing the showerhead from its
flexible hose.
I If there is lime scale build-up on the nozzles which changes
the form of the massaging jet, we suggest removing and clean-
ing the outer ring nut as follows:
-
turn the ring nut all the way counter-clockwise as far as
it will go (you will hear a slight click). Then extract the ring
nut and thoroughly clean the centre hole.
-
do not use metallic tools (scissors, screwdrivers, etc.).
Rather, let the ring nut soak in a slightly acetic solution
(liquid scale remover).
-
When you put the ring nut back in place, make sure it
hooks firmly onto the tooth of the nozzle.
I For normal cleaning of FLEXA (walls, corner element, top,
accessories in general), do not use abrasive detergents, alco-
hol, or other solvents/thinners. Use only neutral liquids.
I If you want to wash/clean the essential oils dispenser, pro-
ceed as follows:
-
detach the cover of the steam outlet by squeezing the
plastic tabs with two fingers and pulling gently.
-
push up on the tab at the bottom of the container, so as
to detach the cover-container assembly from the outlet.
-
once washed with neutral detergent, replace it on the
steam outlet.
I Glass surfaces can be cleaned with normal, commercially
available products for this purpose.
I The glass panels of some models are protected by "Crys-
tal Clear", a special treatment that reduces the build-up of
scale and the formation of stains caused by humidity and show-
er products, leaving the glass panel easier to clean.
"Crystal Clear" treatment reduces maintenance time and
costs, keeping the shower glass panels clean and bright over
time (this, however, depends on the degree of water hardness
and how often the shower enclosure is used).
Maintenance is very simple: after using the shower en-
closure, rinse the glass panels with water, and if necessary dry
them with a cloth. Do not use abrasive pads and/or creamy or
powdered detergents.
