8.5 Fitting the neck guard
At the back of the lining there are three press
stud halves (one each left, right and rear). In
addition, 90 mm strips of Velcro are also
permanently attached on the inside of the
helmet shell (one each left and right).
Attach the neck guard by fastening one of
the studs and pressing it onto the Velcro.
Proceed round the helmet until the neck
guard is completely secure.

The neck guard can be attached to the
inside of the chin strap with Velcro (for
indoor use or flame exposure).
The neck guard can also be worn outside
the chin strap (for better ventilation and
ease of communication), but it is not
permissible for indoor use or similar
situations.
