This document refers to the cascade application
and is an integral part of the instruction manual
which should be consulted for any information
or warning related to the boiler.
Warnings and safety
The Mynute Green 50 boiler can be installed in a suitable
internal location (central heating plant) and in a partially covered
external location (single boiler application).
When installed in cascade in the central heating plant the
adoption of a carbon monoxide detector is recommended (see
related paragraph "CO detector").The manufacturer assumes
no liability for damage to persons or property due to failure to
install the device in question.
Description of the appliance
Moreover, with the help of specifi c accessories, can be istalled up
to a maximum of 3 boilers in linear cascade or back-to-back up to
a maximum of 4 boilers (2+2).
The boiler is suitable for the connection of the cascade control unit
through specifi c communication interface.
Installation regulations
POSITION
Mynute Green 50 are wall-mounted boilers that can be installed:
- outdoors, in a partially protected place (single boiler application),
i.e. a place where the boiler is not exposed to direct contact or
infi ltration of rain, snow or hail).
The boiler can operate in a temperature range from -15°C to
+60°C.
For further detail, refer to the "Anti-freeze system" section.
All the optional kits that can be connected to the boiler must be
protected on the basis of their electric protection level.
- in outside locations, even adjacent to the building served, in
uncovered areas, provided they are structurally separated and
with no adjoining walls, or placed on the fl at roof of the building
served, again with no adjoining walls.
- in buildings intended for other uses or in areas included in
the volume of the building served. These premises must be
exclusively designed for heating systems.
WARNING
The installation of appliances fed by gas with a density greater
than 0.8 (LPG) is permitted only in locations above ground, and
communicating with rooms that are also above ground. In both
cases, the fl oor must not have any dips or depressions such to
create pockets of gas that can lead to hazardous conditions.
Height of the place of installation
To assess the suitability of the size of the place of installation, refer
to the diagrams in this manual and the type of planned installation.
Minimum distances
Single appliance: the distances between any external point of the
boiler and the vertical and horizontal walls of the room must allow
accessibility of the regulatory, safety and control bodies and for
routine maintenance.
Cascade installation: see fi g. from 8 to 13.
Aeration and ventilation of the place of installation
The room must be equipped with one or more permanent ventilation
openings on the external walls. The ventilation openings can be
protected with metal grids, mesh and/or rainproof fi ns provided
that it does not decreased the net area of ventilation.
The ventilation openings must be made and located so as to avoid
the formation of pockets of gas, regardless of the shape of the
covering.
Ventilation for installation in outside locations
The minimum free surfaces, depending on the total heat output,
must not be less than:

WARNING
For the installation of appliances using gas with a density greater
than 0.8 (LPG) in outside areas, above ground, at least 2/3 of
the ventilation surfaces must be made level with the fl oor, with a
minimum height of 0.2m.
The ventilation openings must be no less than 2m, for thermal
outputs not exceeding 116 kW and 4.5m for greater thermal
outputs, from cavities, depressions or openings communicating
with premises located below the fl oor or drainage ducts.
Ventilation for installations in buildings intended for other uses or
in areas included in the volume of the building served.
The ventilation surfaces should not be less than 3000 cm
of natural gas and not less than 5000 cm
IMPORTANT
CO detector
For the installation of the cascade in the central heating plant,
a CO detector should be installed (supplied as an accessory)
that, in case of dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide in
the environment, interrupts the supply of any manual reset gas
solenoid valves installed on the system, or the power supply of
the boilers (in which case interpose 230 V relays with contact from
16A - 230V - see fi g. 7).
For use and maintenance operations of the device, refer to the
instructions contained in the kit.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage to persons or
property due to failure to install the carbon monoxide detector.
Eliminating the air from the heating circuit and
boiler
- Activate a DHW request as follows, instantaneous boilers: open
a tap, for 30" every minute to ensure that the three-way cycles
heat the DHW and vice versa, about ten times (in this situation
the boiler will trip due to lack of gas, therefore reset it every time
this arises).
Heating-only boilers connected to an external storage tank:
operate on the boiler thermostat.
In the case of cascade, activate a request for heat from the control
unit.
Positioning the boiler and making the hydraulic
connections
In addition, a cardboard template is included with the standard
equipment to assist the installer in his work even in case of cascade
application.
In case of application in cascade, for the positioning and fi xing of the
boiler supporting plates and hydraulic manifolds brackets (supplied
as an accessory), see the diagram in fi g. 13; if necessary, use
the cardboard template supplied with the boiler. Support frames
for wall and fl ooring applications are available as accessories. For
mounting accessories, refer to the instructions supplied.
