Introduction
The ACCUGAF , PROGAF and LOFCLEAR Filter Bags
from Eaton Filtration are extremely
filtering media that have been designed for demanding
applications. Prior to installation it is recommended
that these instructions are read and followed carefully.
Storage
ACCUGAF and PROGAF Filter Bags should be stored
carefully in the packaging in which they are supplied.
They should be kept in a dry area where they will not
be damaged or exposed to temperatures above 30° C
(86°F) or below 5°C (41°F). They should only be remo-
ved from their packaging immediately before use.The
outer mesh aids insertion/removal and protects the fil-
tration layers. Small imperfections in the mesh do not
affect filtration.
Operation
As indicated in detail below, these Filter Bags must
always be assembled with a matching bag positioner
and supported by an original Eaton Filtration round
bottom Restrainer Basket. A special basket without
the internally bead is recommended for a better
fitting and extraction of the filter bag.
Pre-Wetting
ACCUGAF , PROGAF and LOFCLEAR filter bags are
constructed from polypropylene without the addition of
any resins, binders or surface treatments. In certain
applications pre-wetting may

be soaked in an effective surfactant (50/50 IPA/water,
sodium pentaborate (borax) or detergents that are
compatible with service conditions) prior to being pla-
ced in service. This may be accomplished prior to bag
installation or afterwards in-situ if permitted. The bags
must be completely immersed in the wetting agent for
a period of at least 5 minutes.
Installation
1. Before installing the bag please read the label for
instructions. Remove the label. Note: the label con-
tains the batch and product code numbers and should
be retained as a reference.
2. Clean the basket and vessel paying special attention
to the O-rings and sealing surfaces. Check the O-rings
for damage and replace as necessary. Ensure that the
replacement is of the correct material and that once fit-
ted, the O-ring is correctly positioned.
3. Insert the bag positioner into the bag. Make sure the
bag is fitted correctly over the bag positioner by gently
pushing-in the side seams. This will ensure that the
bag is correctly centred on the bag positioner. See
photos 1-5.
4. Insert the assembly into the vessel making sure that
it is centred and the SENTINEL seal sits properly on
the machined seat inside the vessel.
5. Check that all bags have been changed and close
the vessel. Close the vessel according to instructions
delivered with the filter vessel.
6. When re-starting, Eaton Filtration recommend that
the system be started up as slowly as possible
to eliminate any `shock´ loading to the filter bag. This
will ensure the best possible results and consistent
performance. For applications where high viscosity or
extreme temperature conditions are to be encounte-
red, Eaton Filtration recommend that the bag should
be changed at a differential pressure of max. 2,5 bar
(36 psi) for best results. Ensure that the bags are not
subjected to reverse flow conditions.

Einleitung
Die neuen Eaton Filtration Filterbeutel ACCUGAF ,
PROGAF und LOFCLEAR sind außerordentlich
effiziente Filtermedien,
forderungen entwickelt worden sind. Es wird
empfohlen, vor der Installation der Beutel diese
Bedienungsanweisung sorgfältig zu lesen und zu
befolgen.
Lagerung
ACCUGAF und PROGAF Filterbeutel sollten in der
Anlieferverpackung sorgfältig gelagert werden. Sie
sollten trocken liegen und keinen Temperaturen über
30°C bzw. unter 5°C ausgesetzt werden. Bitte erst
unmittelbar vor dem Einsatz aus der Verpackung neh-

Filtration nicht.
Einsatz
Wie unten näher beschrieben, müssen diese Filter-
beutel immer mit einer passenden Rückhaltestütze
betrieben und in Original Eaton Filtration Druck-
aufnahmekörbe mit rundem Boden eingesetzt werden.
Wir empfehlen den Einsatz eines speziellen Korbs
ohne Sicke, damit der Filterbeutel optimal eingebaut
und herausgenommen werden kann.
Vorbenetzung
ACCUGAF , PROGAF und LOFCLEAR Filterbeutel sind
aus reinem Polypropylen hergestellt, ohne zusätzliche
Harze, Bindemittel oder Oberflächenbehandlung. Für
einige Anwendungen könnte eine Vorbenetzung not-
wendig sein (50/50 Alkohol (IPA)/Wasser, Borax oder
Reinigungsmittel, die kompatibel mit dem Filtrat sind).
Die Benetzung kann sowohl vor als auch nach der
Installation des Beutels im Gehäuse stattfinden. Der
Beutel muss mindestens 5 Minuten komplett einge-
taucht sein.

Installation
1. Etikett entfernen. Achtung, auf dem Etikett stehen
Batch- und Produktnummern, ggf. als Referenz aufbe-
wahren.
2. Korb und Kessel unter besonderer Berücksichtigung
der Dichtungen und Dichtflächen reinigen, defekte
Teile ggf. auswechseln. Dabei auf das richtige Material
achten und O-Ringe korrekt positionieren.
3. Einbauhilfe hineinstecken. Durch leichtes Ein-
drücken der Seitennähte sicherstellen, dass der Beutel
korrekt auf der Einbauhilfe sitzt. Das Drücken bewirkt
eine Zentrierung des Beutels über der Einbauhilfe.

4. Beides in den Korb einsetzen und dabei sicherstel-
len, dass der SENTINEL Ring richtig im Kesselflansch
sitzt!
5. Bei Mehrfach-Gehäusen darauf achten, dass alle
Beutel gewechselt wurden. Den Deckel gemäß mitge-
lieferter Bedienungsanweisung schließen.
6. Zum Wieder-Anfahren empfehlen wir, dass das
System so langsam wie möglich angefahren wird, um

jegliche Druckstöße auf den Beutel zu vermeiden.
