Preparing Plastic Lined Pipe Ends
When preparing plastic lined pipe ends, always follow the
pipe/fitting system manufacturers' recommended processes.
Typically the 766 cutter is used to cut through the metal outer
pipe, stopping when the plastic liner is reached.
1. Locate the cut as per system manufacturer.
2. Set up and cut the pipe as per the previous section.
3. When cutting, as the tool bit just reaches the plastic liner,
stop advancing the tool bit.
4. Set the adjustment nut against the roll housing and retain
with the jam nut for more repeatable cut off depth. Pipe and
linings may not be concentric or consistent. Pay atten-
tion during cutting.
5. With the metal pipe cut through, follow system manufactur-
er's instructions for removing the metal pipe from the liner.

714/914 diehead. This lockout plate has three holes. Install

3. Cock the die head. Release lever should be positioned as
shown in Figure 5. This retracts the dies so they do not
damage the plastic liner while positioning the diehead to the
pipe.
4. Move the carriage to position the leading edge of the dies
flush with the edge of the pipe (Figure 6).
