1. GENERAL
– This instruction Manual is an integral and essential part of the supply and shall be delivered to the user.
Read carefully the instructions given in this Manual, since they supply important indications on safety of
installation, use and maintenance.
Keep this Manual safely for any further reference.
Units shall be installed by professionally qualified personnel, following the manufacturer's instructions, in com-
pliance with the regulations in force.
"Professionally qualified personnel" means staff expert in the area of components of heating systems for civil
applications and hot water production for sanitary use and, specifically, service centres authorised by the
manufacturer.
Improper installation can result in injury or damage to people, animals or property for which the manufacturer
shall not be held liable.
– Remove the packing material and make sure that the contents has suffered no damage.
In case of doubt do not use the unit and contact the supplier.
The packing material (wooden crate, nails, fasteners, plastic bags, foamed polystyrene, etc.) shall not be left
within children's reach since it may become a source of hazard.
– Before any cleaning or servicing operation, the unit shall be disconnected from mains by turning OFF the
system switch and/or through the cut-out devices purposely provided.
– Make sure that exhaust or dissipation screens are unobstructed.
– In case of breakdown and/or misoperation, switch off the unit. Do not try to repair or reactivate the burner.
Contact qualified personnel only.
Repairs shall be made only by a service centre duly authorised by the manufacturer, using factory spare parts
only.
Failure to comply with the above instructions may jeopardise the unit safety. It is essential that the unit is regu-
larly serviced by professionally qualified personnel, following the manufacturer's instructions to ensure full
serviceability and proper operation.
– When use of the unit is to be discontinued, any potential source of hazard shall be made inoperative.
– In case the unit is to be sold or transferred to another user, or in case the user should move and leave the
unit, make sure that this Manual stays with the unit, so that it can be consulted by the new user and/or instal-
ler.
– Factory accessory equipment only shall be used for all units with optionals or kits (including electric kits).
– This unit shall be used in the application for which it is expressly intended.
Any other use is to be regarded as improper and therefore a potential source of danger.
Any manufacturer's liability (under the contract provisions or otherwise) for damage resulting from wrong
installation or misuse and/or non compliance with the instructions supplied by the manufacturer shall be
expressly excluded.
– The room of the burner shall have openings to the outside in compliance with the current regulations. In case
of doubt as to the air circulation, measure the value of the CO
capacity and the room is ventilated only through the openings destined to feed the air to the burner; then,
measure the value of the CO
The value of the CO
thus measured must not change in a significant way.
2
In case more than one burner and one fan should be placed in the same room, this test shall be effected with
all the units working at the same time.
– Do not obstruct the ventilation openings in the room where the burner is installed to prevent:
– the generation of toxic or explosive mixtures;
– an inadequate air combustion which would cause a dangerous, expensive and polluting working.
– Do not leave the burner exposed to rain, snow and freeze.
– The room of the burner shall be kept clean and free from volatile substances, which could be taken inside the
fan and obstruct the inside ducts of the burner or of the combustion head. The powder is extremely dange-
rous, especially if it settles on the fan blades, where it will reduce the ventilation and cause pollution during
the combustion. The powder could also settle on the back side of the flame stabiliser disk in the combustion
head and cause a poor air-fuel mixture.
