PLAYA - USE AND MAINTENANCE
The ideal chemical levels for your mini-pool PLAYA are:
• Ph: 7.2 - 7.6 ppm
• Bromine / Chlorine: 2-5 mg / l (ppm)
• Chlorine: 1-3 mg / l (ppm)
• Total Alkalinity: 80-120 mg / liter (ppm)
• Hardness: 150 - 250 mg / l (ppm)
• Total Dissolved Solids: less than 1500 mg / l (ppm)
Please keep constantly monitored the chemical values of the tank, which can be
measured with:
• TEST KIT with reagents: it is a method that provides a good level of accuracy,
but it is limited only to the measurement of the pH and the chlorine level.
• STRIPED MULTITEST: generally provide the possibility to also measure the
alkalinity and water hardness. This measuring system is accurate only if the
strips are protected from moisture which can affect the degree of accuracy of
the same.
The frequency with which to test water quality depends on the use of more or
less intensive PLAYA mini-pool.
The chemicals are to be dosed little by little into the skimmer with the filter
pump in operation, and should never be inserted directly into the tub. When using
chemicals it is necessary to carefully read the labels stamped on the packaging and
carefully follow the instructions. Though chemicals protect you and your mini-pool,
when used improperly and / or with too concentrated doses, they can become
dangerous.
1) METHODS OF SANITATION AND CHEMICAL PRODUCTS RECOMMENDED
In order to make a correct maintenance of your mini-pool PLAYA , Piscine
Laghetto suggests using the following chemicals:
– GRANULAR DICHLOR 56% for the first treatment of each version of PLAYA and
for shock treatments and routine maintenance, preferably, of MINIPOOL and
BUBBLES versions.
– BROMINE / CHLORINE TABs 20 gr, especially Halocyde Tabs Laghetto, for
routine maintenance of the HEATER AND BUBBLES version.
– PH GRANULAR, to reduce the pH in the tank, to achieve the water balance and
reduce the possible formation of limestone, in all three versions.
– EXTRA LIQUID ANTILIMESTONE, to be used in all three versions, with
particular regard to HEATER AND BUBBLES version, given in the presence of
heated water tank. Risk of damage to the heater and the linings of the pool.
