To Adjust: A one-time adjustment is
required for optimum fit with your size
head and your choice of SCBA.
1. Check fit of helmet against top of
the SCBA facepiece.
a. If there is a gap, lower the front
headband.
b. If the helmet is being pushed
upward, raise the front head-
band.
c. If it fits with no
helmet rise
and no gap,
no adjustment
is needed.
2. To adjust headband, turn helmet
over and pull front headband
toward center of helmet. This will
disengage the hook and loop and
allow the front headband to be
lowered or raised. Once adjusted,
press the hook and loop material
together again and recheck the fit
as in step 1.

and smoke stains can be achieved
through the use of Meguiars Mirror
Glaze Plastic Cleaner #M1708 and
Cleaner Plastic Polish #M1008.
Use adequate eye protection.
Removel of goggles, faceshield, or
Defender Lens voids the helmet's
NFPA certification. Use ONLY a
Defender Visor polyarylate
faceshield (10071006) or goggles
when using a helmet with a 6" high
front to maintain NFPA compliance.
Failure to use adequate eye protec-
tion can result serious personal
injury or death.
The Defender Lens may interfere
with some prescription eye glasses
and safety glasses. DO NOT use the
Defender Lens if interference
occurs; use goggles or faceshield
instead.
GOGGLE SYSTEM (ONE-TIME
ADJUSTMENT)
1. Remove protective covering from
lens.
2. Don the helmet according to nor-
mal wear instructions (chinstrap
and ratchet adjusted) and using
both hands pull the goggle out in
front of you and then down toward
your face.
