Troubleshooting and solutions
Whenever an ERR message appears, the control
unit switches off completely. To reconnect, use
the main start switch. The following messages will
appear on the display:

BLANK DISPLAY
Electricity supply failure. Check that the
apparatus is turned on or whether the fuse at
the back of the box (T 315 mA) has blown.

ERR 1
The temperature does not rise. Possible
causes: heating element fused, heating element
supply cable cut, faulty triac. Check and
replace as required.

ERR 2
The temperature rises uncontrollably. Possible
causes: crossed Triac.

ERR 3
There is no thermocouple reading. Possible
causes: the soldering iron is not connected to
the unit, thermocouple open, soldering iron
cord broken.

ERR 4
Irregular thermocouple readings. Possible
causes: thermocouple or its connections in
bad condition.

ERR 5
The permanent memory is not functioning.
Information cannot be saved or read. Replace
the whole circuit.
Cancelling the access code
To carry out this operation, the Control Unit must
be opened and the following operations
performed:

Solder a bridge between the point marked PW
and the relevant.

Close the control unit and connect the
apparatus. At this point the previous code is
annulled.

Disconnect the apparatus, open the Control
Unit, and desolder the bridge.

You may now introduce a new access code,
after keying in the initial number 10000.
