Check that the microphone is switched on and
that the mute switching is switched off (see
Sound off function).
Check whether you have touched the Talk key
and whether you hear a dialling tone when you
lift the receiver.
Check whether another telephone functions at
the telephone socket or your telephone
functions at another telephone socket (see
Connecting the base station to the telephone
network [Connecting a base station to the
telephone network]).
Check if the base station is located directly next
to another electrical appliance (e.g. other
telephone or fax machine, television or
microwave oven). Set up the telephone at a
different location.
