12.5. Fuel filter maintenance
WARNING!
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area. Carry out
operations with gasoline in well-ventilated and open areas.
a. Check if the oil filler cap is tightened firmly.
b. Remove the fuel tank cap and drain the fuel into a container by tilting the engine towards the fuel filler neck.
c. Remove the fuel filter with the hose out of fuel filler neck carefully.
d. Check if the fuel filter is dirty. If it is dirty, wash it carefully with water and mild soap. If the fuel filter is too dirty or damaged,
replace it.
e. Put the fuel filter back in the fuel tank and tighten the fuel tank cap firmly.
