1.3. Important safety precautions about sprayers
DANGER!
• Do not spray flammable or combustible chemical products. This poses serious fire or explosion risks;
• DO NOT spray acids or corrosive chemical products. This poses serious fire, explosion and leakage risks. Some
sprayer parts may be permanently damaged.
WARNING!
• Do not use the sprayer for any other purpose other than to spray plant protection products
approved by regulatory agencies for knapsack sprayer use. Any other use which is not in accordance
with the instructions and uses described in this manual may be dangerous, damage the sprayer and have the
warranty
• Check the sprayer before spraying. Certifique-se de que não há nenhum vazamento ou peças faltando.
Make sure there are no leaks or missing parts. Do not operate the sprayer if it is not in good conditions;
• Do not point the spray nozzle at people and animals. Depending on the product used, the solution
sprayed may be toxic;
• Keep the work area clean and well lit. Disorganized or dark areas increase the number of accidents;
• Do not use the sprayer or rainy or windy days to avoid agrochemicals from spreading;
• Always check the direction of the wind before starting spraying. Do not spray against the wind;
• Never allow people who are not familiar with this manual, or children to use this sprayer;
• Avoid using the sprayer in steep areas. There is a risk of slipping and having an accident;
• It is not advisable to operate the sprayer at night or under bad weather and poor visibility condi-
tions. There is a high risk of accidents;
• Do not operate the sprayer if stickers and other parts have been removed;
• Do not spray against the wind;
• Do not operate the sprayer if it is frozen;
• It is not advisable for those suffering from any of the following conditions below to apply agro-
chemicals or help to spray them:
* allergies;
* during menstrual periods;
* during pregnancy;
* liver or kidney disease;
* sick or recovering from an illness;
* other medical restrictions.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke while spraying. There is serious risk of poisoning;
• The sprayer must be cleaned before using an agrochemical that is different from the previous one;
• Dispose of chemical containers appropriately. Follow the recommendations of local regulatory agencies
and follow the disposal instructions supplied by the agrochemical manufacturer;
• During transport in vehicles, the sprayer must be off and secured. Always keep the trigger valve closed
during transport and when sprayer is not being used.
