4. Installation / wiring
A clip-on ceiling adapter or a frame for fitting onto a mounting box is provided
(Fig. 5).
– Wiring diagram (Fig. 6)
– Network plan (Fig. 7)
The wiring leads selected for installation must comply with the regulations laid
down in VDE 0100 (see safety precautions, page 11). For the wiring of the
presence detector, the following applies: Under section 6 of VDE 0100 520, a
multiple-core lead containing both the mains voltage leads and the control leads
(e.g. NYM 5 × 1.5) may be used for the wiring between sensor and LiveLink
box. The lead between the LiveLink box and the sensor must have a minimum
length of 0.5 m and a maximum length of 300 m (for 1.5 mm²). After installing
and switching on, the LiveLink box takes approx. 45 seconds to start. The sensor
then starts to flash once per second during the initialisation cycle (see safety
precautions, page 11).
Using several sensors
Several sensors can be connected in a LiveLink system. In this case, the maxi-
mum number of DALI users must not be exceeded (see technical specifications,
page 13)

5. Detection zone
presence
radial
tangential
Reliable presence detection depends largely on the number, quality and arrange-
ment of the lens elements. The IR Micro LiveLink - with its high-resolution sensor
system, including multi-segment pyro sensor - provides reliable, precision detec-
tion over 6 × 6 metres. The square detection zone provides the basis for creating
optimum configurations quickly and easily.
