2. Move the front hand guard forwards and backwards
to make sure it moves freely and that it is securely
anchored to the clutch cover.
3. Place the chainsaw, with the engine switched off, on
a stump or other stable surface.
4. Release the front handle and let the chainsaw fall by
its own weight, rotating around the rear handle
towards the stump.
5. Make sure that the chain brake activates as the
guide bar hits the stump.
To do a check of the brake trigger
1. Place the chainsaw on firm ground and start it. See
instructions under heading
WARNING: Make sure that the saw
chain does not touch the ground or any
other object.

2. Grasp the chainsaw firmly, wrapping your fingers
and thumbs around the handles.
3. Apply full throttle and tilt your left wrist forward onto
the front hand guard to activate the chain brake. The
saw chain should stop immediately.
WARNING: Do not let go of the front handle!
To do a check of the throttle trigger lockout
1. Make sure that the throttle trigger is locked at the
idle setting when the throttle trigger lockout is
released.
2. Press down the throttle trigger lockout and make
sure that it returns to its default position when you
release it.
3. Make sure that the throttle trigger and throttle trigger
lockout move freely and that the return spring work
properly.
4. Start the chainsaw and apply full throttle.
