Electrical installation

General safety regulations
The requirements of EN 60204-1 must be fulfilled during installation.
Warning
Danger of electric shock from voltage sources without protective measures.
• For the voltage supply, use only a PELV circuit per EN 60204-1 (Protective Extra-Low
Voltage, PELV). Also take into account the general requirements for PELV circuits per
EN 60204-1.
• Only use power sources which guarantee reliable electrical isolation of the operating
voltage per EN 60204-1.
ESD protection
At non-allocated plug connectors, there is the danger that damage may occur to the device or to other
system parts as a result of ESD (electrostatic discharge). Earth the system parts before installation and
use appropriate ESD equipment (e.g. shoes, earthing straps etc.).
Note
Damage to the motor controller due to incorrect handling
• Observe the handling specifications for electrostatically sensitive devices.
Plug for connection [X3]
Only use the plug included in the motor controller scope of delivery at connector [X3].
Note
Never bypass safety functions.
• Make sure that no jumpers etc. can be used parallel to the safety wiring, e.g. by
using the maximum wire cross section of 0.5 mm
