Special safety instructions
•
If the backpack sprayer is used for
spraying weedkiller, insecticide or other
sprays that can cause local irritation or
are hazardous to health or toxic, all safety
precautions concerning use of the spray
must be observed. Be especially careful
when lling and emptying the tank.
Always use the recommended personal
protective equipment and check that the
sprayer is undamaged before using it.
Never direct the nozzle at other people
or animals.
•
Be aware that even a slight breeze can
carry mist and ne drops of spray away
from the place where you are using the
backpack sprayer.
•
Always equalise the pressure before
opening the tank or putting the
backpack sprayer into storage. The
backpack sprayer must not be left
unattended if the tank is pressurised.
•
Check that the tank is empty and clean
before lling it with the spray.
•
Before use, check that all couplings and
caps are properly sealed. Otherwise, the
spray may leak out from the couplings
and caps, which can cause a health
hazard.
•
Beware of spray spurting out if removing
the ller cap immediately after use.
Switch off the pump and equalise the
pressure in the tank using the trigger
on the lance before opening the cap, or
open the cap carefully.
•
Not suitable for spray-painting.
•
Wash the backpack sprayer thoroughly
after use.
•
Remember to wash your hands
thoroughly after you have nished using
the backpack sprayer.
•
Do not eat or drink while using the
backpack sprayer.
Note! A lead acid battery discharges
gradually, even when not in use. Therefore,
it needs to be fully charged at least once
every two months to prevent it losing
capacity.
The battery must never be fully discharged
during use or when in standby, as that may
permanently damage it!
Keep an eye on the battery charge status
using the built-in voltmeter!
Charging
•
Charge the battery before use by
plugging the accompanying charger into
a mains socket and connecting the cord
to the charging socket on the backpack
sprayer.
The indicator light is red during charging.
Once the charging process is complete
or in standby, the indicator light turns
green.
The battery charge status is shown on the
voltmeter at the bottom of the sprayer. A
full charge takes approx. 8 hours. Remove
the cord from the charging socket once
charging is complete.
