Adjusting the chain lubrication
The pruning saw is equipped with a pump
that lubricates the chain and blade as the
chain rotates. The oil amount is preset at the
factory.
If you wish to change the oil amount, press
the chain lubricating screw (37) in using
a screwdriver and turn it towards the + or
- symbols to increase or decrease the oil
amount respectively.
Be aware that you will need to check the
chain oil level more often if you increase the
oil amount!

Sawing
Thin branches can be sawn with one cut.
To prevent shredding and breaking, cut
branches in several sections.
When sawing thicker branches, cut the
underside rst to prevent it breaking off , and
then the upper side.
Continue until your nal cut is closest to the
trunk.
Seal any sawn surfaces to avoid the tree
bleeding if you are cutting trees that are to
remain there.
Checking the chain
A sharp chain creates large saw chips, while
a blunt chain creates sawdust. Once the
chain is blunt, the saw must also be pressed
against the tree to engage, and there is a risk
the saw will kick back signi cantly.
Sharpen the teeth using a round le with
a ling attachment (A), a at le (B) and a
depth-gauge tool (C).

You can also use an electric chain grinder.
Be very careful when sharpening the teeth
– use gloves!
Replace the chain when the teeth are worn
down to the mark.
