INSTALLATION
Carefully follow the instructions in this
manual in order to achieve optimum per-
formance and keep the machine in good
condition.
L
OCATION
Choose an appropriate location in accor-
dance with user needs. The machine
should be placed on a smooth, stable sur-
face. The machine does not need to be
anchored to anything and can be relocated
easily, after unplugging the electric lead.

LECTRICAL
NSTALLATION
· L-3: The machine is single-phase and is
supplied for a voltage of 230V 50-60 Hz.
· K-5/8: - Single-phase machines are sup-
plied for a voltage of 220V.
- Three-phase machines are sup-
plied for a voltage of 220/380V, connected
at 380V.
Before connecting the Cutter to the mains,
check that the motor is set for the same
voltage as the mains. If not, change the vol-
tage.
With three-phase models, check that the
blades turn anti-clockwise.
If not, invert two phases at the plug.
STANDARD EQUIPMENT
-Smooth
general-purpose
Suitable for most tasks, such as chopping
parsley, garlic, mozzarella cheese, making
tomato sauce, etc.
-Wooden spatula for stirring the product in
the recipient.
-Whetstone for sharpening the blades.
O
PTIONAL ACCESSORIES
-Serrated blade unit, especially for grating
bread, cheese, chocolate, dry and crystalli-
sed fruit, ice, etc.
-Perforated blade unit, especially for whis-
king egg whites, making mayonnaise, sau-
ces and pastas in general.
ASSEMBLY
-Place the reservoir on top of the motor
unit, lining up the pins with the slots in the
reservoir. To secure the reservoir fully,
twist it in an anti-clockwise direction.
-Fit the blade unit onto the motor shaft and
press fully downwards until it touches the
base.
-Fit the lid, following the metal pins on top
of the reservoir. Ensure that the lid magnet
coincides with the motor unit column with
its fitted safety sensor.
START-UP
The machine can started and stopped
using the buttons located on the front
panel.
·START: to start.
·STOP: to stop.
·MAN: manual option for inter mittent
machine operation.
·L-3: · +/-: to increase/decrease the wor-
king speed.
· The display shows the current operating
speed.
There is a safety device that prevents the
machine from operating when the reservoir
has been taken off, has not been fitted
correctly or when the lid has not been fit-
ted.
1. Place the required blade unit.
2. Pour the product into the recipient. The
amount used should not be excessive. With
solid foodstuffs, the optimum level is
slightly above the upper blade. Liquid
foodstuffs should not pass the slot in the
middle of the recipient.
IMPORTANT: the blade unit must always
be fitted with the recipient empty, before
pouring in the product.
3. Replace the lid, ensuring that it fits per-
fectly.
4. Press the START button and, after a few
seconds in operation, press the STOP but-
ton to stop the machine and check the
results achieved. If more time is needed to
blade
unit.
complete the operation, use the MAN but-
ton and the machine will only operate while
this button is pressed. When the MAN but-
ton is released, the machine stops automa-
tically.
L-3: - Machine operating speed can be con-
trolled by pressing the "+" and " - " buttons
when the machine is operating. The machi-
ne always starts at speed "4" on a scale with
speeds ranging from 1 to 9.
5. Once the operation has finished, unplug
the machine from the mains, very carefully
remove the blade and twist the recipient in
a clockwise direction to remove it from the
shaft.

MAINTENANCE
-Before any cleaning, checking or repair
operation, the machine MUST be discon-
nected from the mains.
-If the power lead is worn and needs to be
replaced, this may only be done by a tech-
nical service approved by SAMMIC.
-Noise level of the machine in operation, at
a height of 1.6 metres and 1 metre away,
less than 70 dB (A). Background noise: 32
db (A).
R
The blades are very sharp; therefore special
care must be taken when handling them.
1.Ensure that the machine has been swit-
ched off and disconnected from the mains.
2.Extract the unit, being very careful not to
touch the blades, as they are very sharp.
3.Replace it with the required blade unit,
ensuring that it fits perfectly onto the
shaft-motor. If the lower blade rubs against
the bottom of the recipient, adjust the
height of the blade, using a screwdriver on
the screw on top of the blade holder unit.
To ensure the best results, the blades must
always be sharp. All machines are supplied
with whetstones.
C
The machine must be disassembled and
cleaned at the end of every day or every
time the product is changed.
1. Disconnect the machine from the mains.
2. Remove all moveable components.
3. Clean the whole surface and all movea-
ble parts that have been removed, using a
hot, soapy sponge. All parts in contact with
foodstuffs must be cleaned immediately
after each use, using a detergent approved
for use with foodstuffs. Do not use abrasi-
ve products or dry detergents.
Then rinse with abundant hot water and
disinfect using a soft cloth moistened with
90º ethyl alcohol.
The outside of the apparatus MUST NOT be
cleaned with a direct jet of water. Use a
damp cloth and any normal detergent.
