COMPACT
- The negatoscope does not require any ordinary maintenance.
- Disconnect the main supply cable from the plug (mains voltage).
- Use a slightly damp cloth to wash the outside of the instrument
Attention on the opal viewer use only water or neutral detergents; do not use alcohol, disinfectants, etc...
Ensure that the negatoscope is dry before the switch on.
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE AND DIRECTIVES
- ALL THE MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS, INCLUDING SUPPLY CABLE REPLACEMENT,
MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY COMPETENT PERSONNEL.
- Each extraordinary maintenance operation must be carried out as specified in PART 2.
REPLACEMENT OF COMPONENTS (fluorescent lamp – starting switch - Fuses)
ATTENTION:
BEFORE EVERY MAINTENANCE INTERVENTION TURN OFF THE VOLTAGE
WARNING
AND ALLOW A SPECIALISED TECHNICIAN TO PERFORM THE CHECK
DANGER:
HIGH INTERNAL VOLTAGE
To replace faulty components, open the instrument as follows: remove the fixing screws and lift up the
top guard.
• You are always recommended to use spare parts having the same technical char-
acteristics. When requesting spare parts, always give the code specified in the list
of components.
PART 5
ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
The various components will now be accessible.
To replace the fluorescent lamp tubes:
1. rotate the faulty tube on its axis by approximately a
quarter turn (a click should be heard);
2. take the tube out of the lamp socket;
3. insert a new tube in the lamp socket;
4. rotate the tube as specified in point 1.
To replace the starting switches:
seguire lo stesso procedimento indicato per i tubi delle
lampade.
To replace the fuses:
1. take out the fuse carrier;
2. take out the faulty fuse from its seat;
3. insert a new fuse;
4. insert the fuse carrier in its appropriate housing.
