Information for use
sera reptil alu reflector 150 and 200
Please read these instructions carefully and keep for future use.
Thank you for purchasing the sera reptil alu reflector 150 or
200. The reflectors are particularly well suited for the installation
directly inside a terrarium (1.1) or for placing on top of the wire
grid of the hood (1.2). The clip holder can also be attached to
the edge of an open aquarium or terrarium (1.3), e.g. for irra-
diating an island for terrapins with a heat lamp. The fine mesh
protection grid prevents terrarium inhabitants suffering from
burns caused by direct contact with the light or heat source.
SaFeTY PreCaUTION!
Connect the sera reflectors to the mains supply only with in-
stalled lamps.

to a wattage of up to 300 W. The lamp shade consists of break-
proof coated aluminium. The clip holder can be attached to

assembly instruction and operation
Lamp installation:
Take the protector (2.3) off the lamp shade (2.1 or 2.2). Screw
the lamp clockwise into the ceramic lamp fixture by hand, with-
out using any tools. Screw the lamp in without exerting much
force, far enough that it is not loose any more but has contact.
Check whether the lamp burns by switching it on briefly. Switch
the lamp off again if it functions and put the protector back on
the lamp shade.
Usage on top of the terrarium:
Simply place the protector with installed lamp on top of the wire
grid of the terrarium (1.2). Make sure the wire grid is not made
of plastic material and cannot melt when using radiant heaters.
Usage as a clip lamp (fig. 3):
Place the screw holder around the lamp fixture of the reflector
(3.1). Briefly turn the wing nut (3.2) so the head of the clip fits
into the holder (3.3) and fasten the wing nut. Make sure the pro-
tective ground wire is not squeezed or damaged when attaching
the holder (3.6).
The protector can be attached to items with up to 50 mm (2 in.)
material thickness. Press the clip (3.4) and put the rubber clamp
on the terrarium edge or another fastening opportunity (3.5). The
lamp shade can additionally be turned into the desired direc-
tion. Slightly loosen the wing nut to do so and fasten it again.
Usage as a pendant lamp:
The reflector can simply be hung into the terrarium through the
cable duct in the terrarium hood (1.1). Make sure the protector
(2.3) is clipped onto the opening of the lamp shade.
Cleaning
The surface of the sera reptil alu reflectors can be cleaned
with a moist cloth. Non-corrosive, solvent-free neutral deter-
gents can be used as cleaning agents. No abrasive detergents
such as scouring agents should be used.
Maintenance
Lamp replacement:
Disconnect the reflector from the mains supply. Carefully un-
screw the faulty lamp after you have let it cool down. Avoid sud-
den movements as to prevent breaking the lamp. Do not use
sharp-edged tool for unscrewing the lamp. If you cannot grip it
firmly enough with your hands you may use a leather cloth or a
chamois for unscrewing. This is in particular advisable if the
lamp glass is broken.
