• Unscrew the yellow protective caps (1) from the
threaded connectors.

Caution!
Water inlet to the cartridge from below!
Observe the direction of throughflow on the
cartridge!
• Fit the water meter (2), including the supplied screw
coupling (plastic), to the bottom of the
water softening cartridge.
• Trim the supply hose (3) to the desired length and
screw it to the inlet at the bottom.
• The connection (4) from the cartridge outlet to the
combined filling and emptying valve on the boiler
must be made on site. The fitting provided (plastic)
must be installed at the outlet of the water softening
cartridge.
• To fill the heating system, first open the combined fill-
ing and emptying valve on the boiler (5) and then the
draw-off valve (6).
• Closing takes place in reverse order - first close the
draw-off valve and then the combined filling and emp-
tying valve on the boiler.
The granulate loses its effectiveness after a certain op-
erating time (see diagram in Fig. 4.2 and the sticker on
the cartridge) and must be replaced.
