MEDIUM MODEL SAFETY FENCE
place it on the mesh, so that the conical drill
holes coincide with the post drill holes. Once it
has been placed, the person holding the mesh
should screw the fastening section to the post
using the five DIN-963 M6x20 screws supplied
with a star-headed ("Phillips") screwdriver (elec-
tric if possible) through the mesh. The operator
holding the fastening section should stop the
mesh from moving out of its vertical alignment.
NOTE: if during this operation, it is difficult to
drill through the upper or lower reinforcement
band of the mesh, mark the fastening points
and drill a hole, maximum Ø5, and repeat the
process.
3.4. Repeat the process described in the above
point for the remaining installed posts. Continue to
mount the safety perimeter by spreading out the
mesh to the next post located at a distance of one
metre. One person should align the mesh to the
post, which is still free, and the anchoring base,
making sure that the mesh is aligned both vertically
and horizontally, keeping the mesh taut but without
forcing it.
3.5. Cut the excess mesh with a cutter, for exam-
ple, taking care not to scratch the post and taking
the U-section as a guide.
NOTE: check that the mesh is well fastened
between the section and the post, without any
creases, and that it is vertical. If this process
has not been done correctly, you should uns-
crew the fastening section of the mesh and
repeat the process.
4. ASSEMBLY OF THE ACCESS GATE
4.1. Once all the mesh has been installed, you can
now assemble the access gate in the free space
between the special posts (post on the left is provi-
ded with four reinforcement bushings and the post
on the right with four drill holes to fasten the mag-
netic lock) as shown in the drawing. Page 25.
4.2. Screw the hinge support onto the left door sup-
port post using the two DIN-7991 M6x16 screws
and the nylon spacer washer.
4.3. Place the gate frame (which already has the
safety mesh) onto the hinge support aligning it with
the welded bushing on the lower part of the frame.
MEDIUM MODEL SAFETY FENCE
Note that the side of the frame with the fastening
screw heads for the mesh should be facing the out-
side part of the perimeter.
4.4. Place the second hinge support and nylon
spacer washer with the welded bushing on the
upper part of the door frame, and then align the
whole unit with the post, matching the M6 drill
holes of the post with the hinge drill holes. Finally
fasten the support using the two DIN -7991 M6x16
screws.
4.5. Fasten the two fastening bands of the magne-
tic lock to the post located on the right of the
access length, using the DIN-7991 M5x16 screws
as shown in the drawing.
4.6. Bearing in mind that the fastening section of
the special mesh must be installed on this post
(width 40 mm. and with three threaded drill holes to
fasten the magnetic lock), place the two fastening
squares of the lock and fasten them (see dra-
wing....) using the DIN-7991 M4x16 screws to the
section itself and to the previously installed bands.
4.7. You can now install the magnetic lock by sli-
ding it along the rails of the installed squares until
the lower part of the lock is aligned with the lower
part of the square.
4.8. Fasten screw DIN-7982 to one of the holes on
the lower part of the lock to ensure that it is fully
fastened.
4.9. Finally screw the support of the lock to the
door frame, using the DIN-84 M5x25 screws, in the
drill holes of the frame. (see figure 4.9)
NOTE: to adjust the frame with the door, see
the instructions of the magnetic lock.
