ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

• Beforeconnectingtheappliancemakesurethatthevoltageandfrequency
rated on the data plate conform to those of the mains supply.
• An all pole trip switch with at least 3mm between the contacts must be
installed between the unit and the mains supply.
• Don't use cables with aluminium conductors; don't solder the
ends of cables which are to be inserted into the binding posts; use
cables marked T min 85°C and resistant to atmospheric agents.
• The terminal wires must be positioned in such a way that both the wire
and the insulating sheath are tightly fastened (a plastic jubilee clip is
sufficient).
MAINS POWER SUPPLY CONNECTION
• Connect the control and security device wires.
• Connect the 230Vac power supply between binding posts "1" and
"2" on the electronics card.
• Connect the Faston to the battery contact

EMRG Passive safety input (N.C.)
7-8
If this contact is open the power supply to the controls (including
the electronic card) will be interrupted. Insert a normally closed
contact which is able to support a load of 35Vdc 100mA. This
safety device should be installed in addition to the normal active
safety devices (Caution! This input cannot be connected in series
with the FTCI/CSP as EMRG does not share the same common).
It could also be wired in series to an emergency device in line with
the standards in force.
9-10 AUX 1 (potential free contact)
Dip 4 "ON" Traffic light signal output "local"
Dip 4 "OFF" Traffic light signal output FCA active
11-12 AUX 2, (potential free contact)
Dip 4 "ON" Traffic light signal output "remote"
Dip 4 "OFF" Traffic light signal output FCC active
13-14 Boom lights 30Vdc 18W, power supply
14-15 Boom/hood warning light control 30Vdc

17-18 CTRL 24Vac/dc 12W, controlled power supply output
TA1 (N.O.) opening button 1 input
19
20
TA2 (N.O.) opening button 2 input
21
Common for all inputs/outputs
22
TC1 (N.O.) closing button 1 input
TC2 (N.O.) closing button 2 input
23
24
Common for all inputs/outputs
TB (N.C.) Blocking button input (when this contact opens the
25
work cycle is interrupted until a new movement command is
given)
26
Common for all inputs/outputs
27
FRA (N.C.) Opening direction deceleration travel limit
28
FRC (N.C.) Closing direction deceleration travel limit
29
Common for all inputs/outputs
30
FTCI (N.C.) Safety and control devices in input (photocells invert
the travel direction when an obstruction is detected).
The opening of this contact will provoke a travel direction inversion
during closure due to the cutting in of the safety device.
31
CSP (N.C.) Contact safety buffer input. If this contact opens during
closing, the travel direction will be instantly inverted.
32
Common for all inputs/outputs
33
FCA (N.C.) Opening direction travel limit
34
FCC (N.C.) Closing direction travel limit
20
Outer conductor for radio receiver antenna
21
Inner conductor for radio receiver antenna (if an external antenna
is fitted use a coaxial type cable RG58 with an impedance of
50Ω).

Voltage is available even during battery powered operation (it is
not controlled).

These inputs can only be used if you activate traffic light manage-
ment.
ALL UNUSED NC CONTACTS MUST BRIDGED
Switch on the power and make sure that the indicator LEDS are in the
following condition (note: If the display is off you can press the PROG

The LEDs are lit if the relative safety device is not active (depends on
thepositionoftheboom).Checkthatwhenthesafetydeviceactivates
the relative LED switches off. If the red power on LED "L1" doesn't
light up check the condition of the fuses and the power supply cable
between binding posts "1"-"2" (fig.19). If one or more of the safety
LEDS do not light up check the contacts of the relative security
devices and bridge the unused safety device contacts. If the motor
doesn't start up check the condition of the fuses "F1" and "F3", as
well as the fuses on the battery charger (fig. 18).
