PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The height-adjustable drawbar connects the trac-
tor vehicle to the trailer frame.
The gross weight rating is stamped onto every
overrun hitch. The gross weight of the trailer must
not exceed this value.

Designated use
The overrun hitch is a component of the trailer's
brake system, and may be used only, after being
completely installed and tested, for connecting the
trailer to the towing vehicle.
The overrun hitch is approved for use in the follo-
wing weight ranges:
Type Weight range
160 VB 850 - 1600 kg
270 VB 1425 - 2700 kg
350 VB 2500 - 3500 kg
Possible misuse
CAUTION!
Do not use the eye of the breakaway ca-
ble guide for towing and pulling. If placed
under tensile load, the eye bends.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION!
The overrun hitch must always be ali-
gned parallel to the drawbar section (11)!
Check the adjustable drawbar before every
journey.
The tooth tips must mesh into each other
without any play.
The locking toggle must always be secured
using a spring cotter pin!
Do not kink the Bowden cable when adjusting!
Check how the Bowden cable is laid after ad-
justment:
To prevent ground contact, the Bowden
cable arch must always be pointed up-
wards (12).
The breakaway cable may not touch the
Bowden cable!

CAUTION!
Danger of the trailer becoming unhit-
ched! Always guide the breakaway cable
through the eye of the breakaway cable
guide.
