Troubleshooting
If there is a problem, try the following suggestions. If the problem cannot be solved,
contact your healthcare professional.
Problem/possible cause
S9 device displays:
Cable is not connected.
Another telephone or modem
may be in use.
The telephone line you are trying
to use is a digital line.
S9 device displays:
The S9 Modem module is not
connected properly.
The telephone line you are trying
to use has DSL signals activated.
Server is busy / not available
Solution
Phone line not available
Check that the cable into the module and the
cable into the telephone connection are both
inserted correctly.
Once the telephone line becomes available,
press the manual send button on the S9
Modem module.
The S9 Modem module must be connected
to a land based analog telephone line, with a
working telephone service.
Connection failed
Disconnect the module from the S9 device and
reconnect according to the instructions.
If the S9 Modem module is connected to a
telephone wall socket that has DSL signals
activated, a DSL filter must be installed
between the telephone wall jack and the S9
Modem module.
The S9 Modem module automatically sends
data once the server is available.
