How to Power Baby Control through the Mains Adaptor:
Insert the plug of the adaptor into the appropriate socket
(8), located at the side of the equipment, and then insert
the plug of the adaptor into a mains socket (having fi rst
checked that the voltage to be used corresponds to the
voltage shown on the equipment's voltage rating plate).
Warnings
- The cable of the adaptor can pose a risk of suffocation
for your child; keep out of reach of children
- Check the adaptors regularly; if the power cable or any
plastic parts show signs of damage, do not use and con-
tact a qualifi ed technician.
- Do not leave the mains adaptors connected to a mains
socket when the equipment is not in use and/or it is not
connected to the mains adaptors.
How to Power Baby Control through Batteries - Fitting/
Replacing the Batteries
When the ON/OFF light (3) becomes fainter and less
visible, or when the transmission and/or audio signal be-
comes signifi cantly fainter, it is necessary to replace the
batteries.
To fi t/replace the batteries: Remove the cover of the
battery compartment (6), located at the rear of the
equipment, loosening the screw (7) with a screwdriver.
Remove the spent batteries and fi t 4 x "AA" 1.5 Volt alka-
line type batteries into each unit, ensuring that they have
been fi tted in the correct polarity, then close the battery
compartment and tighten the screw (7).
Warnings
- Batteries must only be fi tted by an adult.
- Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equiva-
lent to the type recommended for the correct function
of this product.
- Always remove spent batteries from the receiver and
transmitter if the Baby Control will not be used for a
long period of time, to avoid the danger of leakage from
the batteries damaging the product.
- Should any battery leakage occur, substitute the bat-
teries immediately, taking care to clean the battery
compartment; wash your hands thoroughly in case of
contact with the battery liquid.
- Dispose of spent batteries at an appropriate differ-
entiated collection point, as requested by the laws in
force. Do not burn or dispose of batteries in the envi-
ronment.
- The use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended,
since they could impair the functionality of the equip-
ment.
- The transmitter and receiver have not been designed to
operate with replaceable Lithium batteries.
- If rechargeable batteries are used, remove them from
the equipment before recharging them. Batteries must
always be recharged under adult supervision.
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batter-
ies: they might explode.
- Never mix new and old, or different types of batteries.
- Always keep batteries and tools out of reach of chil-
dren.
- Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
- Remove the batteries from the product before its dis-
posal.
- WARNING: The improper use of the batteries could be
dangerous.
How to Position the Transmitter
The transmitter must be placed at about 1 – 1.5 metres
from the child, on a fl at, stable surface, taking care to di-
rect the microphone (4) towards the child.
How to Switch on the Transmitter
To switch ON/OFF the transmitter, turn the ON/OFF
switch (1) in an upward direction (to the ON position).
The ON/OFF light (3) lights up.
How to Select the Transmission Channel
Select the transmission channel A or B using the chan-
nel selector (2), ensuring that the same channel has been
selected on both units.
The two channels have the aim of reducing any possi-
ble interference caused by other equipment being used
nearby
Important:
- Always ensure that the same channel has been selected
on both units.
How to Turn on and Adjust the Volume of the Re-
ceiver
To turn on and adjust the volume of the receiver, turn the
ON/OFF, volume adjustment switch (9), located on the
receiver. The ON/OFF light (3) lights up.
Warning!
- After switching on the units, always check that the
signal transmitted can effectively be received at the
distance and/or in the areas where you would like to
receive the signal. It is recommended to carry out a
transmission test in the room where the transmitter
is positioned with the help of a family member, whilst,
at the same time walking with the receiver in the areas
where you intend to use the receiver to check that the
signal can be received correctly.
Sound Level Warning Lights
The receiver has warning lights (11) that switch on in
succession depending on the intensity of the sound in-
tercepted by the transmitter's microphone. The more
intense is the sound, the more lights switch on.
This function allows you to check the presence of sounds
also when the volume is completely turned down.
Portable Receiver
The receiver has a belt hook (11) that also features a
practical hole (12) by which the receiver can be hung on
the wall.
NOTE:
- To optimise the reception/transmission of the equip-
ment, it is recommended to always keep the transmit-
ter and receiver in a vertical position.
