General Instructions
7. The male hose fitting should now be on the outside of the drum. Apply teflon
tape or pipe joint compound and conect the hose fitting to the swivel joint and
secure the hose rigid with the hose clamp.
Note: the circlips restrain the hose, when fully extended, from pulling its
fittings out at the swivel joint.
8. Carefully release the locking ratchet and slowly allow the hose to retract into
the reel.
9. Final spring tension adjustment is accomplished by adding wraps of hose
around the drum to increase the tension, or removing wraps of hose to decrease
the tension.
Trouble
Hose will not fully retract
Hose will not retract at all
Reel will not latch
Fluid leaks from swivel
Hose locks up when
fully extended

Troubleshooting:

Cause
* Outlet nozzle, gun or tool
is too heavy
* Spring is fatigued
* Replacement hose is too long
*Spring has lost all tension
or has possibly broken
* Incorrect operation
* Dog spring or locking cam is
broken or worn
* Swivel seals are worn
* Hose clamp is in the incorrect
position

Remedy
* Add spring tension. See
"Spring Tension Adjustment"
section.
* Same as above. Replace
spring canister if required.
* Call local distributor for
correct specified hose length
* Reinstall spring tension
* Replace spring canister. See
"Spring Canister Replacement"
* Reel latches on first, second,
third or fourth "click". After fourth
click it automatically rewinds.
* Replace dog spring or locking cam
* Replace swivel seals. See
"Spring Canister Replacement"
* Relocate hose clamp to operational
location
