2. Important safety information

WARNING
Danger for the eyes
Tensioning the rods can cause danger for the eyes.
■ When tensioning make sure that the rods will not shoot up in your eyes
- danger of severe eye injury
■ Make sure that humans or animals, who do not participate in the
installation of the product, keep a safe distance of 1 m to the product.
CAUTION
Danger of impact and crushing when opening and folding the Softbox
■ Make sure you will not crush your fingers when opening or folding.
■ Keep children and animals away from the product.
WARNING
Danger of fire caused by hot parts of the equipment
Depending on the studio flash used the speed ring and the Softbox adapter
may become hot. Easily inflammable materials may start fire if they are
mounted too close or incorrectly.
Make sure that inflammable materials will not come into contact with the
studio flash.

Danger of burning on hot equipment parts
Depending on the studio flash used, modelling light and flash tube as well
as speed ring and Softbox adapter may become hot.
■ Do not touch these parts during use and while the unit is cooling down
■ Allow the studio flash to cool down as specified in the operating instruc-
tions, before starting assembly or repair measures
■ Do not reach with your hands into the Softbox or change the inner
diffuser during operation and the cooling down phase

3. Unpacking and checking the device

1. Carefully unpack the scope of delivery.
2. Check whether the scope of delivery is complete:
• Softbox
• Inner diffuser
• Front diffuser
3. Check whether the scope of delivery is free of damage:
