5 Brief operation
The appliance is designed only for brief periods of operation. You can use the ap-
pliance continuously for about 1 minutes. After this, you have to allow the motor
to cool down sufficiently before reusing the blender.
6 Initial use
Open the blender jar and fill it with the desired ingredients. It is advisable to start
by adding liquids. You can then add the ingredients (e.g., fruits) and finally add
yoghurt or ice cream.
Now fix the blade unit onto the blender jar. Then connect the power plug of the
appliance into a properly installed power socket.
Place the blender jar with the blade unit onto the base unit. Ensure that the "ar-
rows" on the jar and base unit are at the same position. Press the blender jar slight-
ly downwards and turn it in a clockwise direction so that the blender jar is locked
in place.
As soon as you press the ON/OFF button on the front of the appliance, the smooth-
ie maker starts to blend the desired contents. Release the button once the desired
result is achieved or the brief time of operation is reached.
You can then detach the blender jar from the base unit and remove the blade unit.
You can either pour the smoothie into a glass or put the lid on the blender jar and
store the smoothie in the refrigerator or take it with you when out and about.
Note: The appliance is designed only for brief periods of operation. You have to
allow it to cool down sufficiently after 2-3 minutes of continuous operation before
you start blending again!
