The luminaires of the FLURE series can be subdivided into 3 categories, namely:
ground recessed, surface mounted and pendant versions.
RECESSED LUMINAIRES
Installation of ground recessed luminaires requires provision for adequate drainage to avoid backwa-
ter over long periods. Hence the bottom of the recessed housing should be made up as follows: at least
20cm sand with a layer of gravel of about 10cm on top. Furthermore it is advisable to make a check by
filling the ground recessing box with water and making sure that no trace of it remains within 30'. If
this is not so, an additional drain system should be provided.
Installation without ground recessing box
Recessed luminaires can be mounted directly in a housing provided in the ground (but not in direct
contact with the soil which could, owing to its acidity, damage the paintwork, nor should they be in the
cement) or else in a wall, without making use of the recessing box, also in direct contact with normal-
ly inflammable surfaces
90mm, maximum width 85mm and length depending on the luminaire. Above all, four expansion plugs
with max. diameter 5mm should be prepared, for fastening the luminaire according to the indications shown in fig.1.
Mounting with ground recessing box
The use of the recessing box allows creating a barrier between the luminaire and recessed housing.
This solution is especially useful when cement grouting is required if the ground is not sufficiently sta-
ble or else it is very acidic or alkaline (close to the sea). The advantage of this accessory is that of allo-
wing mounting the luminaire flush with the pavement fig.2. First of all, prepare a recessed housing of
the size shown in fig.3. Then proceed to assemble the recessing box Fig.4. Insert the recessing box in
the hole provided and use the polystyrene inserts to avoid subsiding of the plastic structure; such
inserts should be removed before seating the luminaire Fig.5. Grout with concrete around the four
sides of the recessing box in order to ensure perfect cohesion between the housing and recessing box.
N.B. Access to the plastic ducting for the electric power supply cables is provided along the short sides
of the recessing box.
SURFACE MOUNTED LUMINAIRES
Ceiling mounted projector
For the mounting of ceiling mounted projectors, follow the instructions given below: use the mounting
support as drilling template fig.6, and secure it with suitable expansion plugs; engage the retaining
block in the guide of the luminaire fig.7; and fasten it in the required position with an appropriate tool
fig.8. Lastly fit the luminaire with the ceiling mounting devices and tighten the safety screw fig.9.
Wall mounted projector
For the mounting of wall mounted luminaires, follow the instructions given below: hold the anchor
brackets towards the end of the luminaire fig.10; use the mounting support as drilling template fig.11
, and secure it with suitable expansion plugs; engage the retaining block in the guide of the luminaire
(fixed version) fig.12; and fasten it in the required position with an appropriate tool fig.13.
PENDANT LUMINAIRES
For the mounting of pendant luminaires, follow the instructions given below: use the mounting
bushings are drilling templates fig.14 , and secure it with suitable expansion plugs; screw-in the
mounting pin fig.15; fasten the adjusting devices (provided in the standard kit) on the preassembled
plates on the luminaire fig.16; adjust the required length of the pendant, fig.17 by acting on the fric-
tions (pull the wire in the direction of the arrow) to lengthen, fig.18 or pull the cable directly (in the
direction of the arrow) to shorten; lastly cut the surplus steel cable.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
For electrical connection to the mains, proceed as follows: back-off and remove the screws fastening
the caps fig.19; remove the plastic trim cover (only for wall mounted and pendant versions) fig.20; loo-
sen the gland to facilitate cable introduction keeping the bushing-gasket sequence fig.21; partly lift out
the reflector support fig.22; unplug the connector and make the connection to the mains (use cables
conforming to general standards) fig.23; follow the instructions in reverse order fig.23-22-21-20-19
making sure that the seal is seated correctly fig.24. Caution! In surface mounted and pendant luminai-
res, make the cable outlet in the plastic cover by breaking the edge in the areas marked fig.25.
N.B. leave about 20 cm cable in excess for easier replacement
