Fitting procedure
The individual components are removed and refitted according to the Repair Manual. When
removing the individual components, proceed with the utmost caution to avoid damaging the
clips, etc. Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean throughout the fitting procedure.
Remove the following components:
The upper part of the side luggage compartment lining (hereafter simply referred to as the
"upper part") from both sides of the vehicle.

› Insert the flat spring (B) into the left side of the upper part, as shown in the figure.
Note. Take care to ensure that the flat spring sits in the upper part
exactly as shown in figure 2.

› Insert the locking mechanism (C) into the left side of the upper part, as shown in the figure.
Note. Insert the locking mechanism into the opening on the upper
part exactly as shown in figure 3a. The locking mechanism must
never be inserted as shown in figure 3b.
Insert the flat spring and the locking mechanism into the right side of the upper part in
exactly the same way.
Refit the upper part as shown in the Repair Manual.

› Slide the multifunction box (A) into the upper part as far as it will go.
Refit the luggage compartment lining.
