Problem
The coffee does not
taste very good.
The device switches
off during the
brewing process.
A large amount of
steam is produced in
the brewing process.
During use, an
unpleasant smell is
detected.
The device does not
start the brewing
process at the set
timer time.
Warranty and Limitations of Liability
The warranty excludes any defects caused by improper use, calcifi cation, damage or repair
attempts. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
We do not accept any liability for damage or consequential damage resulting from:

Failure to follow the operating instructions
•
Non-designated use
•
Improper or unsuitable handling
•
Repairs which are not carried out properly
Possible cause
The device needs to be cleaned.
The coffee powder has been
too fi nely or too coarsely
ground (in a coffee mill).
The coffee/water mixture is not
ideal.
The water quality is not good.
There is no longer any water in
the water tank.
Is the device scale-encrusted?
Is the device being used for the
fi rst time?
Has the device just been
descaled?
Has the power supply been cut
in between times?
Fix
Clean the device (see the
"Cleaning and Care" chapter).
Adjust the grinding fi neness of
the coffee (or have it adjusted)
if necessary or choose another
coffee powder.
Adjust the mixture to your own
individual taste.
Check the water quality and
fi lter the water if necessary.
Pour water into the water
tank (see the "Handling and
Operation" chapter | "Filling the
Water Tank").
Descale the device (see the
"Cleaning and Care" chapter |
"Descaling").
A smell often develops when
new devices are fi rst used. The
smell should disappear once the
device has been used several
times.
Rinse out the device with clear
water.
As soon as the power supply is
cut, all settings (time, timer) are
cancelled.
