Installation recommendations
3 1
General
See the wiring diagram on page
lowing paragraphs.
3 2
Positioning
Position the rudder feedback unit so that the direction of rotation of
the rudder shaft corresponds to the direction of rotation of the rud-
der feedback unit axis.
3 3
Mounting
Never install the rudder feedback unit outside!
• Install the rudder feedback unit so that the tiller arm follows the
tiller closely.
• Install the rudder feeback unit in such a way that the unit-arm and
tiller move in unison.
• Fit the unit-arm and tiller so that the distance (H) between the
centre of the rudder shaft and the centre of the unit-arm is the
same.
• Determine the size (R) depending on the space available, prefer-
ably as long as possible.
• Fit the rudder feedback unit with the screws supplied.

Connections
• Connect the power supply as shown on page 27.
• Install the cable, or cables, from the rudder positioner to each in-
strument.

Adjusting the rudder feedback unit axis
• Turn on the power supply for both the rudder feedback unit and
the gauge.
Make sure the rudder is in the middle position!
• Slightly loosen the three screws.
• Gently rotate the rudder positioner to the left or right until the
readout indicates the neutral position.
•
Tighten the screws again.
A global setting is sufficient, a fine adjustment is possible on each
gauge individually.
• Now move the rudder and check that the gauge's port to star-
board indication is correct.
