1. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations and many thanks for the purchase of the CAT 6 Patch Panel,
8-Port Desktop. Hereafter indicated as "patch panel". All devices that we
distribute comply with the safety regulations valid at the time of purchase,
and are safe provided they are used for the intended purpose. Please
observe the following instructions to avoid possible hazards, damage and
malfunctions.
These Operating and Safety Instructions are included with the Patch panel. They
contain important information on how to use the product. Please read the instruction
manual carefully, in particular the safety instructions, before using the Patch panel.
This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to follow these operating
instructions can result in serious injury or damage to the Patch panel. Retain the
instructions for future reference. If you give the Patch panel to another person, make
sure it is accompanied by this instruction manual.
2. GENERAL SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
• The Patch panel is an electronic product that should not be left in the hands of
children! Therefore, keep it out of the reach of children.
• The Patch panel must not be modified or changed. The housing must not be
opened.
• Use the product only in dry and closed environments. Protect the product from
moisture.
• Do not drop the product or expose it to strong vibrations.
• Clean only with a lint-free cloth. In doing this, especially ensure that no water (no
fluid or moisture) gets into the product.
3. INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unscrew and open the metal cover
2. Strip approximately 50 mm of the outside jacket, fold the shielding back and
separate each strand into four pairs.
3. Wiring the LSA strips
Follow the instructions with the colour coding sticker for T568A or T568B cables.
Leave space in the correct location and insert the paired strands into the slots.

4. Straighten the cables. Press the cables into the strips using an LSA punchdown
tool. Press the shielding until it is grounded.
