4.- ADJUSTING THE HARNESS

Adjusting the height of the shoulder strap.
Check the correct position of the shoulder straps with the child
properly seated in the car seat; they should be slightly above the
baby's shoulders. To change the height, the car seat must be taken
out of the car.
4a PROTECT has 4 height positions for the shoulder straps. To change
the position, pull the shoulder straps while pressing the release
button. (8)
4b Behind the seat, open the harness protective cover (16) and take the
shoulder straps out of the metal fork of the tightening device.
4c Remove the plastic forks that hold the shoulder protector pads (7) be-
hind the seat.
4d Remove the shoulder straps and shoulder protector from the front.
Place the headrest in the correct position. (4)
Reinsert the shoulder straps through the correct slots.
In the same slot insert the straps of the shoulder protector pads (7) and
fit the plastic forks again.
4e Fit the ends of the shoulder straps through the metal fork of the tighte-
ning device again. Finally, close the cover (16).
WARNING: While the baby is in group 0 and is using the shoulder straps
in the lowest position, the foam cushion should be used (17) to fit the
harness to the baby correctly and provide a more reclined position for
his back.
When the baby needs a higher strap position, remove the foam cushion.

WARNING: When more than 1/3
of the baby's head is higher than
the top edge of the seat (up to the
child's ear approximately), this
means that the baby is very tall to
be using this car safety seat. For
optimal protection you should
replace this seat with another
one of a higher group category.

5.- RECLINING THE CAR SEAT

Warning:
DO NOT USE THE LEVER FOR GROUP 1, FRONT FACING. (3)
The PROTECT seat can be reclined gently using the knob which
allows for an infinite number of positions.
To adjust the position of the backrest, turn the knob (15) located
on the front of the base; turning it clock-wise reclines the seat,
turning it anti-clockwise straightens it. (2)
To make it easier to turn the knob, pull it
de él hacia fuera.
