CLEANING AND CARE

Daily maintenance
1. Inspect the propeller every day after use for seaweed, fishing nets or
other debris that could block the propeller.
2. Lubricate all rotary axes with a non-aerosol lubricant. Never use aerosol-
containing lubricants to grease or oil the equipment components, as
many spray lubricants contain harmful additives that could damage the
engine.
3. Check the location of the battery connections.
4. Visually check the condition of the battery connection cables.
5. Check for loose or damaged cable connections.
6. When it has been in contact with salt water, rinse the bottom of the
outboard motor with fresh water after use. Make sure that the top cover
of the motor does not get wet as this could damage the circuit under the
cover.
7. Visually inspect the seat of all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness.
8. Charge the batteries after each use. Follow the recommendations of the
respective battery manufacturer for the maintenance of the batteries.
9. In cold temperatures, store the outboard motor in sheltered and warmer
conditions where it will not freeze when not in use.
10. Never connect a cable to the wrong electrode. When servicing the
battery, the motor must be disconnected from the battery.
