3. Fold down the run-off flap and place a
low bowl underneath.
4. Turn the foreign matter trap anti-
clockwise by approx. 1/4 turn and let
the water run off. When the bowl is
full, turn the trap to close it. Empty
bowl and repeat as often as necessary.

With a fully loaded drum (e.g. at a
power failure) up to 20 litres of water
may need to be drained!
5. If there is no more water emerging re-
move the foreign matter trap.
6. Clean the foreign matter trap and suds
pump opening. Check to see if the
pump's impeller turns freely.
7. Replace the foreign matter trap and
tighten it (turn clockwise). Close run-
off flap and service door.
Water inlet filters
Clean if water flows very slowly or not at
all.
1. Switch appliance off, close the water
tap.
2. Take the inlet hose off.
3. With a pair of combination or pointed
pliers remove the strainer in the
"Aquastop" resp. "Aquastop PLUS" (ac-
cording to model), clean and put it
back in place.

4. Except for "Aquastop PLUS": With a
pair of combination or pointed pliers
remove the strainer from the inlet port
at the rear, clean and put it back in
place.
5. Put inlet hose back on and tighten
"finger-tight".
6. Open the water tapfully and check all
connections for tightness.
Decalcifying
If the detergent is proportioned correctly,
it is not necessary to decalcify the appli-
ance.
• If necessary use only a decalcifying
agent suitable for washing machines.
