WARNING:
An unbalanced blade will cause
excessive vibration when rotating at high speeds. It
may cause damage to mower and could break
causing personal injury.
8. Lubricate the spindle shaft and the inner surface of each
blade with light oil. Slide the blade onto the spindle shaft
with the side marked "Bottom" (or with part number)
facing the ground when the mower is in the operating
position.
9. Replace the hex bolt and tighten to torque: 450 in. lbs. min.,
600 in. lbs. max.
To ensure safe operation of your mower, periodically check the
blade bolt for correct torque.
Belt Care
1. Move the deck lift lever into its center position.
2. Remove the top belt cover by removing the five screws that
secure it as shown in Figure 6-4.

3. Remove the lower belt cover by removing the four screws
that secure it as shown in Figure 6-5.
