BLADE BALANCING (See Fig. M)
To check the balance of the blade, place the center
hole of the blade M-1 on a nail or screwdriver shank
M-2 that is securely clamped horizontally in a vice
M-3. If either end of the blade rotates downward,
file that end. The blade is properly balanced when
neither end drops.
BLADE MAINTENANCE (See Fig. N1, N2)
Replace your metal blade after 50 hours of use or
2 years, whichever is the sooner-regardless of the
condition.
To remove and replace the blade, you will need
garden gloves (not provided) and a spanner wrench
(not provided) to remove the blade. Hold the blade
(15) and unscrew the blade bolt (13) counter-
clockwise using a spanner wrench, and then remove
blade (15) and fan (14) (See Fig. N1).
To re-assemble, position the blade (15) and fan (14)
with the cutting edges towards the ground (See Fig.
N2). Then securely tighten the blade bolt (13).
STORAGE: (See Fig. O1, O2, O3 )
Stop the mower and always remove the safety key.
Clean the exterior of the machine thoroughly using
a soft brush and cloth. Do not use water, solvents
or polishes. Remove all grass and debris, especially
from the ventilation slots.
Turn the machine on its side and clean the blade
area. If grass cuttings are compacted in the blade
area, remove with a wooden or plastic implement.
Store the machine in a dry place. Do not place other
objects on top of the machine.
To aid storage, press the handle quick adjust lever
(10) and fold the handle bar (9) to the position as
16

shown in Fig. O1. Then the mower could stand to
save space (See Fig. O3).
