• If new messages have been recorded, the an-
swering machine will switch on after the first
ring.
• If you hear a second ring, then this means
that no new messages have been recorded for
you. In this case, hang up immediately. Oth-
erwise, the answering machine will switch on
after the fourth ring.

Recording time

You can set how long the message on the an-
swering machine may be. The default value is 60
seconds.
 Select REC. TIME.
 Select 60S, 120S, 180S or NO LIMIT and
confirm with MENU. "NO LIMIT" means a
maximum of 15 minutes recording time.
Compression
To make optimum use the answering machine's
memory space, you can change the compression
of the stored messages. As a rule of thumb, the
lower the compression, the more memory space
