component as the protection of the terminal box depends on it being part of
the FlexFilter EX.
The terminal box manual contains detailed information regarding Declaration
of Conformity, ATEX approval and special requirements.
Installation
From the control system (see picture no. 18 / 5), fit a multi-wire cable (see
picture no. 18 / 4) to the cable gland (19 / 1) on the terminal box (see picture
no. 19).
A 12G0.75 cable is recommended. Ensure IP6X protection of the cable and
that the cable is installed with proper strain relief.
See enclosed documents for electrical wiring.
Control system requirements
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
Control signals must be fused, maximum 5 A, to avoid heating of the terminal
box and outgoing electrical wires.
Cleaning valve operation,
•
24 V DC, Signal opens the valve.
•
Adjustable timing. Normally open 4 seconds, closed 60 minutes.
•
For a FlexFilter EX Twin, the second cleaning valve must operate in
sequence. Normally it opens 10 seconds after the first one is closed.
•
Cleaning valve and TVFD feedout operation may not occur
simultaneously.
TVFD operation,
•
Signal 24 V DC, opens the valve.
•
TVFD is supervised with position indicators, indicating closed valve. The
control system must ensure that only one valve at a time is opened.
•
For a FlexFilter EX Twin both of the TVFD can operate simultaneously as
the operation is not affecting the vacuum.
•
A minimum 10 second delay must follow the cleaning valve operation
before a TVFD sequence can be initiated.
•
Alarm should be triggered if either of the valve/s is not reported closed
within 15 seconds after the open signal is removed.
•
Alarm should be triggered if a TVFD valve is still reported closed within 15
seconds after the open signal is applied.
•
At alarm from Explosion Relief Panel Sensor or fire alarm, both valves
shall be closed without delay.
•
It is recommended to use a bypass switch, such as the Nederman "NS-
Switch", to avoid above mentioned TVFD false alarms when changing the
Bulk Bags.
Explosion Relief Panel Sensor indicates an open Explosion Relief Panel.
Signal 24 V DC, closed circuit when Explosion Relief Panel is closed (intact).
•
Alarm if open circuit
