4.4 Generator Trouble Shooting

4.4.1 Self-excited AVR - OFF LOAD

Inspect all terminals of auxiliary board.
Inspect AVR push-on terminals.
Repair, or replace if necessary.
Restore magnetism of the exciter stator:
1、Operate the no-load generator at rated
speed.
residual 2、Attach the leads to a 12VDC battery with a
diode in one lead.
3、Briefly(maximum 1s) connect the positive
lead to the AVR terminal X+(F1) and
may negative lead to AVR terminal XX-(F2).
Caution: The AVR will be damaged if it is
connected with wrong polarities and no diode.
