Replace The Battery
If required, remove the sensor from the cap as described in the
"Remove the DC Sensor" section.
Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws from
the back of the DC sensor.
Using a sharp-edged screwdriver or knife, insert the tip between
the side of the DC sensor and the small white tab of the back
cover. Pry the back cover out, the lift the cover off of the DC
sensor.
NOTE: The lithium battery may be considered hazardous waste.
Discard the old battery in accordance with any applicable codes.
Remove and discard the old battery. If necessary, use a small
flat-blade screwdriver to pry the battery from the DC sensor.
Align the metal poles on the new 9 V lithium battery to contact
the metal electrodes in the DC sensor.
Insert and push the battery into place in the DC sensor until it
snaps over the side tab.
Press the cover into place until it snaps into place on both sides.
NOTICE: Do not overtighten the screws. The plastic threads can be
easily damaged.
Retighten the two screws into the DC sensor cover.
